# X (Twitter) Sentinel Commands

> Monitor Twitter/X accounts in real-time, detect new project follows with the Following Alpha Radar, and configure link unfurling.

## Overview

The **Clyr X Sentinel** is a persistent background daemon designed for crypto alpha syndicates. It continuously monitors high-signal Twitter accounts (KOLs, venture capitalists, token founders, and whale traders) and pushes real-time alerts into your WhatsApp group the instant they post or follow a new account.

## `/xtrack` — Track an X Account

Registers a Twitter/X handle with the background Sentinel daemon for the current group.

### Syntax

```bash theme={null}
/xtrack <username>
```

### Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| :- | :- | :- | :- |
| `username` | String | **Yes** | Twitter handle to monitor (accepts with or without the leading `@`, case-insensitive). |

### What Happens When You Track an Account

1. **Profile Verification**: Clyr queries the Twitter API to verify that the account exists and is public.
2. **Silent Baseline Snapshot**: The engine fetches the user's latest tweets and following list and commits them silently to the PostgreSQL database.
3. **Spam Prevention**: The bot **does not** dump historical tweets into your group upon setup. Only tweets and follows published *after* registration trigger alerts.
4. **Daemon Enrollment**: The account is assigned to the sub-minute polling scheduler.

### Example Invocation

```bash theme={null}
/xtrack AimiuwuVictor
```

### Response

```text theme={null}
✅ Now tracking @AimiuwuVictor in this group!
• Bio: Building Clyr Bot | Web3 & AI Engineering
• Followers: 12,450
• Real-time monitoring active for new tweets & new follows.
## Following Alpha Radar (Automatic)
When a tracked account follows someone new on Twitter, Clyr automatically identifies the newly followed account and broadcasts a specialized **Following Alpha Alert Card** into the group.
This provides instant alpha on stealth founders, early angel investments, and unannounced project tokens before they hit public timelines.
### Following Alpha Alert Anatomy
### Anti-Dump Circuit Breaker
To protect your WhatsApp group from notification spam during API pagination shifts, account reactivations, or mass-following sprees, Clyr enforces an **Anti-Dump Sanity Limit**:
* If a tracked account follows 1 to 3 accounts during a polling window, all individual alerts are dispatched.
* If a bulk spike (>3 new follows) is detected simultaneously, Clyr automatically suppresses the batch, records the new follows into the baseline silently, and notifies the group:
  ```text theme={null}
  ⚡ Sentinel Notice: Detected 8 new follows on @whale_alert. Baseline updated silently to prevent chat spam.
  ```
## `/xuntrack` — Stop Tracking an Account
Ceases background monitoring for the specified handle in the active group.
### Syntax
```bash theme={null}
/xuntrack <username>
```
### Example
```bash theme={null}
/xuntrack AimiuwuVictor
```
### Response
```text theme={null}
🛑 Untracked @AimiuwuVictor from this group.
Background Sentinel polling has ceased.
```
***
## `/xlist` — View Tracked Accounts
Displays a directory of all Twitter accounts currently monitored in the active group, including account follower counts and time enrolled.
### Syntax
```bash theme={null}
/xlist
```
**Aliases:** `/tracked`, `/x-list`, `/following`
### Response Format
```text theme={null}
📋 Tracked X (Twitter) Accounts (3/15)
Group: MANDEM 🫂❤️🦅

1. @AimiuwuVictor
   • Followers: 12.4K | Status: Active 🟢
2. @vitalikbuterin
   • Followers: 5.4M | Status: Active 🟢
3. @cobie
   • Followers: 760K | Status: Active 🟢

Tip: Use /xuntrack <username> to remove an account.
```
***
## `/twitter-on` & `/twitter-off` — Link Previews
Controls whether Clyr automatically expands and enriches standard Twitter/X links posted by community members into full text previews with media.
### Syntax
```bash theme={null}
/twitter-on # Enables automatic tweet unfurling in chat
/twitter-off # Mutes automatic tweet previews (silent mode)
```
**Aliases:** `/x-on`, `/x-off`
> [!NOTE]
>
> Toggling `/twitter-off` only mutes passive link expansion. Scheduled `/xtrack` alerts will continue to arrive normally.
## Error Handling & Troubleshooting
| Error Message | Cause | Resolution |
| :- | :- | :- |
| `User @handle not found` | The handle was misspelled, changed, or the account is suspended. | Double-check the handle on `x.com/<handle>`. |
| `Account is private` | The account has protected tweets enabled. | Twitter Sentinel only monitors public accounts. |
| `Maximum tracking limit reached` | The group has reached the tier limit for active accounts (Free: 3, Extra: 15). | Upgrade your tier via `/support` or remove unused accounts with `/xuntrack`. |
| `Rate limit cooldown (429)` | Twitter API temporarily throttled endpoint. | The Sentinel daemon automatically backs off and resumes within 60 seconds without data loss. |
